Compton High Boys Lacrosse: A Testament to Growth in the HL Los Angeles Region
This past May, the Compton High School boys lacrosse team earned their chance to shine in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) playoffs. Their journey began with a challenging match against a higher-seeded Riverside Poly team. Defying the odds, the Compton Boys emerged victorious with a hard-fought 8-5 win, showcasing their skill, tenacity, and the effectiveness of their rigorous training and mentorship.
Two days later, the team traveled to Orange County to face University High School. Despite a valiant effort, their season came to an end in the second round. However, the spirit and camaraderie among the players were evident. The boys were all smiles, proud to be part of a pioneering chapter in Compton’s history.
