HL Philadelphia Celebrates our Families!

HL Philadelphia kicked off our Fall season with our 2nd Annual Family Day on October 5th at Olney Athletic Field. This year’s celebration had an amazing turnout - over 80 friends, family, players, partners and staff, across all 6 Harlem Lacrosse programs, joined us for a day of fun and lacrosse!

The day began with new coach introductions as we have added four new faces to the Philly Team - Coaches Aidan, Amanda, Anita and Lesley. Participants spent the majority of the day rotating between stations that introduced and/or reinforced basic lacrosse skills. Players had the opportunity to put a stick in the hands of their family members to share their love of the game, showcase their lacrosse IQ and participate in fun drills together. With Coach Will, a long time community partner from Pennridge High School manning the grill, we ended the day with HL swag, hot dogs and smiles on everyone's faces.

This event kicked off the official start to our Fall programming and allowed Program Directors to connect with their players and families face to face. Our programs would not be as successful as they are without the support and trust from our families, and we can’t wait to host another event before the Spring season!
