Tom rothman

Tom Rothman currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment's Motion Picture Group. His remarkable career in entertainment spans over three decades and includes dozens of blockbuster films, the successful revival of multiple franchises, and the creation of timeless classics. His professional accomplishments mirror his impact on Harlem Lacrosse, and his passion for storytelling is matched only by his commitment to helping to transform young lives.

Tom is an alumnus of Brown University. He was an All-New England selection in Division I Lacrosse and began his professional life as an English teacher and soccer and lacrosse coach. As an ardent supporter and true champion for sports-based youth development, Tom has been monumental in helping Harlem Lacrosse achieve our growth. Tom's dedication and generosity enable us to empower over 1,200 students annually, offering them opportunities and resources to excel both on and off the field.

By supporting Harlem Lacrosse, you are helping to place a Program Director in a school in an under-resourced, urban community. These full-time staff are educational and lacrosse coaches, mentors, and advocates who are the cornerstone of our programming. They work with students during the school day and lead educational, lacrosse, and enrichment activities after school, on weekends, and during school breaks. Our model produces consistent and impactful outcomes.
