TechBoston Boys | RODE Architects
During the winter season, HLers attended career exploration trips to learn about various careers and professional skills. The TechBoston boys visited volunteer coach Nick Binder at RODE Architects where he is an Architectural Designer.
Coach Binder taught a lesson on the history of architecture and what the design process is like for architects. The students looked at a real RODE Project, and then took a tour of the office and saw the different ways the firm models projects: 3D printers, laser cutters, and sometimes just plain old paper.
To conclude the visit, HLers designed a new locker room for school and pitched their ideas to the founding partners of RODE, showcasing their excellent communication skills and creative ideas for a new locker room.
